Trapp Family Lodge Dining Room - STOWE

The white carving was hard and dry and the spatzle was not very good compared to the at bierhall. apfelstrudel was served cold. the dining room was cold, needed a heavy pullover.

That was not worth the price we paid. we ordered the cheese plate and cheeseburger and I ordered medium well and it was not inly boiled thru, but slightly burned

The breakfast buffet was easy. I liked the cheese and top selection, but it was almost as if everything that was cooked for tomorrow was it (i.e. nobody came out to fill up earthy and saw the egg to sit for a bit.) if the price was lower, I would give these five stars, but simply did not see the worth in it and had spent $70 on something else inside and a bagel. the location and view of the dining room are very beautiful.

My wife and I had such a beautiful dining experience. The service was most accommodating and efficient. Lovely table service.

The convenience of dining at the lodge was great! The food was just ok. I wanted it to be so much better for the money, but my steak was over cooked and my brussel sprouts were nothing special. What was delicious was the pumpkin cheesecake we had for dessert and our drinks from the bar were also good. The service was good, as well as the ambiance, but for the price of our dinner I wish it had been a little fancier . Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and would recommend the restaurant to someone else, but it was not our favorite.
