Bidrage med feedbackI was finally able to make it out to try this place. It is not close to home, so when I was finally in the area, I had to stop. I tried the brisket curry bowl, and it was delicious. The only negative thing I have to say about it was that it was very pricy. I spent $19 on just one brisket bowl that was mostly just rice and one strip of brisket in curry sauce. The portion was on the small side as well. But overall, the flavors were amazing.
Had a good welcoming, had to order at the doors entrance then sat down to wait with my , not long. Had my meal brought to my table all at the same time. First time trying cold edamame (not a fan), the queso was warm not hot and lots of chips all placed in order in a basket, but the star of the show was the brisket in the bowl with rice and curry. Also warm not hot enough but it was a great taste. Around me i saw a station for draft beers. Real clean place and staff was nice and polite. Hope they have pull pork next time, so i have more choices and get to try it.
11/10 definitely go. Even great portions for the price. Brisket is ?
Let me preface my review by stating that this is purely based on the handful of Uber Eats orders I've placed. I have yet to step foot inside Curry Boys' establishment, much to my dismay. I really need to get out there. That said, let me just say two words: Tony Porker. Yelp Fam, if there's one dish you need to try, it's this one. Named after beloved retired Spurs player, Tony Parker (duh), this bowl is absolute perfection. A perfect marriage of East and West. The pulled pork is soft and tender, not chewy or rubbery. It's seasoned to perfection and had it been on a bone, it would have fallen off, I have no doubts. The curry and rice paired perfectly with it, and the flavor is fantastic. Also, bonus points for consistency. You get two baby carrots and two potato slices. I really don't want to try anything else on the menu because this is just perfection, but I know I may have to try a chicken dish or something next time. One time I ordered the Flan Solo and that was a flan flavored with coffee. Different, but by no means bad. In fact, it might be my new favorite way to enjoy flan.I REALLY need to step out and visit Curry Boys in person. I can only imagine the experience right there in the shop. But Curry Boys will always be an option as long as they use delivery services.
Located in a seemingly suburban area, this pink shop is the cutest and most unique bbq you'll ever eat. While there seems to not be much to do in the area, the quaint house provides a cozy getaway from the cold and is very conveniently located near a bus stop! Inside is spacious with lots of seating and they accept card. One point I was most amazed by was that the single bathroom was huge- the kind of space that felt like I could do a mini fencing match. The inside decor is a lot cuter than I expected with branded old time cowboy movie posters and a small retro TV. As for the food- I recommend the curry specifically. However, as an Asian the flavor profile misses the mark a bit for me. The price point is reasonable for what it is and the staff is quite thoughtful. We got the brisket smoke show which featured an adequate portion. The jasmine rice was cooked ok, the green curry had a slight spice to it and was yummy though included vegetables such as russet potato chunks and baby carrots. The brisket was medium tender to texas standards and offered a slight smokiness without being too overpowering. I would recommend. The chili oil garlic noodles are a miss for me, the noodles were a bit soggy and the straight kind. The sauce was overly salty and slightly sweet/tangy instead of a slippery coating. The smoked edemames were not really smoked and coated in a sweet Thai chili sauce (the kind you use with chicken). Overall I give it a high rating because I do think in terms of the food I've had here it is solid and unique. I appreciate the service and how spacious yet cozy the space is. Omit the sides and opt for the entrees instead.
