Bidrage med feedbackHeard about this place decided to give it a try tonight. I was the only customer on a Saturday night about 6:30. The workers said they're real busy at lunchtime weekdays. Waffle cone stuffed with chicken bites and your choice of one of five sauces. Tonight I chose maple syrup to keep it easy with a side of seasoned fries and a tea. Fries at a pretty good Pace with the season coating ahead on there. Didn't even need ketchup. The chicken inside the waffle is a good concept and tasted pretty good. The chicken could have had a little bit more flavor either in the meter on the breading to give it a little more pop so to speak. Waffle cone tasted really good. After I finish there was no waffle cone or chicken left on my plate. Corner of Hildebrand and McCullough in San Antonio certainly encourage you to give it a try
As advertised, it’s chicken in a cone. Good fast food, though not really a meal on the go since the chicken tended to scatter. Would be very hard to eat in the car. The cone was tasty. You can have the chicken tossed in sauce or on the side. Addl sauces cost extra there was a credit card fee of 29 cents. Wished they served ketchup. Should I return I’ll try the kickn ranch sauce and I didn’t like the peri peri sauceKid-friendliness: Kids meals available
I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally came because Southwest Airlines has a program where you can earn Rapid Reward points at certain eateries. The place is tiny with indoor seating so we ended up sitting with strangers. I ordered the Chick'nCone since I liked the novelty of it. The chicken was rather dry and overcooked with not much flavor. The chicken chunks were also cut very small so it was difficult to spear them with a fork or eat by hand. Thank goodness the Kick'nRanch sauce helped make it edible. Just as the name indicates, it is ranch with a hot spice. The cone itself tasted fine but I'm going to assume that its texture of being both soggy yet stale came from holding the chicken. Actually, the entire place, although small, had a burnt smell. The fries were actually good, similar to McDonald's but with spicy seasoning. I had seen on the menu online that they serve slushies with alcohol but this place didn't have them on the menu. The soft drink dispenser was broken, one of the bathrooms was out of order, and they had just mopped so there there yellow warning placards out but still lots of water accumulated in front of the order counter. The male employee taking orders appeared to be bored and did that annoying thing where they are constantly tapping his nails on the counter as though he was irritated. There was a large tv showing Hell's Kitchen so that was entertaining at first but didn't care to see the chefs encountering maggots on rotten meat. I have no intention of returning.Another thing: it took nearly a week for my receipt to be texted to me.
Paying $12 $14 for a combo with mediocre chicken nuggets didn 't seem worth it in hindsight. Didn 't expect the waffle to be an actual waffle cone, but I guess it makes sense! I was hoping for the waffle cone to be slightly thicker to resemble an actual waffle and make it chicken and waffles type thing but it was more so chicken nuggets in an ice cream coneThe fries were the highlight of this meal! It was nicely crisp and seasoned. I got the Kick N Ranch sauce and it was the perfect amount of kick for a little spice plus a balance of that creaminess. The person who took my order was very sweet and walked me through my indecisiveness of picking a sauce. Clean place! If I come again, I 'd get the sandwich probably.
Was driving around and decided to Google fried chicken near me. Glad I did. This place was so delicious. I got a chicken in a cone with Buffalo blue sauce(hot sauce with a hint of blue cheese) a little spicy but so tasty. Cajun fries were crunchy and nice flavor. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.. a must try
