We had a great time at Massaki! We were referred by our hotel and enjoyed our anniversary here. The server and sushi chef were a great duo! They had fun energy and were shocked we came there from Ohio, which made us even more glad we chose to spend our evening here! I know restaurants that are fighting shrimp, but to see them how they wore around my teller and along the floor near my feet, as I ate. I totally ruined my daughter. it ruined it for me, I could never go back there. so sad to see that this place go downhill as it used to be one of the more nice restaurants in staunton.

We eat sushi all over the country and this was some of the worst sushi we have ever eaten. The rolls are overpriced, made way too big to fit into your mouth, and made with way too much rice. The lady who waited on us was fabulous, but the overall environment of the restaurant was not good. Cheap chopsticks, terrible soup. It was simply not worth the $75 bill we paid. It seems like their hibachi is popular, as the phone kept ringing with people making reservations. Would consider trying hibachi, but would never eat at their sushi bar again.
