Lovely friendly place with nice staff and regulars alike. Dog friendly, good food and a great pint of Guinness. I highly recommend this place.

Love love loves this place. the chef is absolutely brilliant with crazy generous portions, had no bad meal here. the old adage that English eating is terrible does not apply to the ash. the personal is a joy and many great memories of the second world war. highly recommended!

The best steak and ale pier you will find everywhere in the land (winners for people who don't like much baked as it made in a bigger dish! so good I had it two nights in order! pictures to prove it. hand in shot / size for scaling! chips are perfect crispy vs soft. thanks to paul as a great host. 2 screens for footy large mattresses in barn hotel. denver. Great food very friendly staff Took my family and parents in law for a traditional pub meal rather than the airport hotel. So glad we did. The food once again was good and the lady serving us was brilliant. Will be back again soon I’m sure. Many thanks.
