Campo Sparks

We have been coming to this restaurant for Easter Sunday for the past three years, and it has always been excellent. However, this year was a disappointment. The food was not good and the service was slow. We had planned on ordering the special Easter menu, but did not check ahead of time what it would include. We were disappointed to find that there was no ham option like in previous years, but that was our mistake. Instead, we ordered the chicken parmigiana and a couple of pasta dishes. The pasta dishes were bland and the fettuccine was watery and flavorless. The appetizers we ordered were fine, but not exceptional. We usually come to this restaurant for the boudin, but even that was not as good as before. The portion size was smaller and the layers were not as well balanced as in the past. This year, there was a thick, dry layer of cookie crumbs instead of the usual creamy caramel layers.

I imagine the waiting staff do better at lunch and dinner. During breakfast you get the sense you’re an inconvenience because they’re prepping for future diners. The attention you get is sporadic and slow. The staff are very pleasant, I think they just haven’t received any training.

As others have mentioned, the food was just ok, but the service was fine. We were a group of 8 and were there for brunch, and everyone's food was just ok, nothing special. We had to ask for everything from condiments to salt and pepper. The best part of the meal was the **** marys, which cost more than the meal! The ambiance leaves much to be desired, and the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. I don't think I would come here again.

We had another wonderful experience at Canpo. Our party of sixl loved our entrees and our service was spot on! We asked for Madeline; she is absolutely lovely. A wonderful server who remembers us everytime. Our experience was definitely better because of her! We'll be back!

The service was outstanding. The food was ok, the music playing over head was a little too loud. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and fast. I'll definitely be back.
