Shaheen Tandoori - Southwark

The restaurant serves excellent food, although it can be a bit oily at times. It has a cozy, home-like atmosphere which suggests it is a family-run establishment. The seating capacity is limited, accommodating around 25-28 people at a time.

This restaurant had very disappointing food. The jalfrezi tasted like it was microwaved from frozen, and it could have been improved with more salt. It's frustrating that some people can't properly balance basic flavors in Indian food, which should have a mix of salt, sour, and chili. The kebab was also dry and lacked the usual sensory experience that Indian food provides. While the portion size was satisfying, the lack of taste was a major letdown.

During our stay at The Hampton By Hilton Waterloo in January 2023, my wife and I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant. Run by a friendly and helpful family, the establishment may be basic but it exudes charm. We enjoyed a fantastic meal at a very reasonable price. Thank you for the wonderful experience. The food was terrible, very oily and bland, takeaway packaging not very appealing, im a bit nauseas today morning n i ordered last night, asda level food.

They don't sell or allow you bring your own alcohol. This is not a problem, we drank water. The food was excellent very tasty. We were the only two in the restaurant so not a great deal of atmosphere but that was not a problem as we just wanted to talk and catch up. All in all I would recommended this Shaheen Tandoori Restaurant if you want a good cost effective and tasty curry.
