Bidrage med feedbackIf you are hungry, I would not recommend this restaurant. We went there on December 31st for a meal, but were told that we would have to wait an hour. Even though it was New Year's Eve, they had enough staff. We will not be returning.
We made a reservation ahead of time just in case it was crowded, but it turned out to be quiet. I opted for the chicken parma and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of delicious food, including a lot of salad and chips. All of us were impressed by the quality of the meals. The wine was reasonably priced and the service was quick and friendly. The cozy fire in the bar helped us warm up. Overall, it was a great experience.
The darl and I took four of our nies and neffen to lunch while they were down in southport. not many options in southport, but I was always happy to visit the southernmost pub in Australia! nice and cassie d (cascade. caught) for me and a jug of the heavenly limonade for all others. we went for some pretty standard powder food with carving and parmis, bowl of wedge and garnel from the special menu (for only $20). I was more than satisfied with my bark parmi, chips and salat. and the garnels were also a hit. many empty plates at the end.
Simple hotel that describes itself as the southern most hotel in Australia. The place was very busy, lots of large tables and not enough staff. Most people waited for over an hour and a half for their food, with some tables served out of order....The wait staff were friendly and definitely feeling the stress of the night. When the food arrived is was good, not great the steaks were not cooked evenly. The size of the meal was ample and they manage my food allergies easily. We we offered no apology or explanation or even a free drink or glass of water. So a good place to visit on a quiet night.
Had dinner here on a Friday night after driving down from Hobart. Rang and booked in for dinner as advised. The menu has a good pub range, staff and patrons were friendly and the beer was good. Order dinner, found our reserved table, had a...drink with the family and then our orders were served with a smile and pleasant chit chat. Chicken and fish were the orders and we all cleaned up our plates and then had ice cream sundaes and sticky date pudding. Meals were cooked well and came with fresh salad and well cooked chips. The hotel was clean and warm with a lovely fire.
