Wheatsheaf Inn - South Staffordshire

I came to the wheatsheaf for a good night to say with my family, there was no reservation for us. a table was finally set up, it took an hour before we could order. I have used this venue for the last 10 years and that was the worst experience of eating.

The pub was closed. the booking was made for 7 people for lunch. no contact by e-mail etc. to cancel only a board from the doorstep, the closed until further notice. disgraceful. must have been 16 people. the elms in shareshill. this is a great pub and will bring our regular booking forward.

Sunday the lunch thought it was a good value for money, even the proportion of the children was a good size.

Nice eating plight personal beautiful experience was only part of the table service was a little slow to time but eating came in a good time frame once ordered

It was really quiet when me and my partner went in. Within 20 minutes it was a lot busier. And got a little noisy. But that's to be expected with families. I have 4 children so I know they can be loud. Our order was taken quickly. Drinks served right away. Food arrived quickly. We were impressed with portion sizes. There was plenty. And it was delicious. My partner had beef Sunday roast. I had gammon. With sides of pigs in blankets. There was not. Bad thing to say about the food. The only 1 thing that wasn't great was the quite small table in a corner we were on. The plates/ sides and drinks only just fitted. And also there were. Few flies buzzing around 1 of which ended up in my partners drink. Luckily it was almost empty. We would definitely go there again.
