The Half Moon - South Oxfordshire

George greeted us warmly at this charming restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The pizzas were delicious and well-priced. It was a great find and they also offer takeaway options.

Our experience at this restaurant was overall frustrating. We had to go to the bar for everything - ordering drinks, placing our food order, getting another drink, and requesting the bill. Although the food was good, the entire experience was stressful and unpleasant. Adding a 12.5% service charge when there was no real service to speak of was disappointing. We commend their efforts to keep a small establishment running but we will not be returning. We chose not to pay the service charge and although I wanted to explain why, it felt like a futile gesture. - Craig, 17/2/24

Lovely lunch at the Half Moon near Watlington. Excellent pizza and attentive friendly staff. I will go again and will definitely recommend.

Stumbled across The Half Moon whilst in the area and with a table of 4 adults and 4 children, they could not have been more accommodating. The food was delicious, staff really friendly and the place was warm and welcoming. Really recommend The Half Moon to anyone looking for lunch or dinner.

After a 6-mile walk, we were warmly welcomed at this charming pub. The pizzas were delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. Despite our large group of 13, the service was efficient. A big thank you from the Oxford Fieldpaths Society.
