Harpo's Bakery - South Glastonbury

The woman who assisted me was extremely nice and friendly and eager to help. I had purchased many items and she offered her assistance to bring my items to my car. She said all of the bread and pastries were made in house, with the exception of some Italian cookies. The sandwich I purchased was delicious along with the pastries. This is a very pleasant bakery.

Small local bakery with incredibly friendly staff. I tried her lemon bread, apple muffins and Russian pumpernickel bread, which was freshly cut before me. Seeing the bread sliced is really a throw back into the past and fascinating to watch! The muffins and lemon bread were good, not too sweet and not encrusted with sugar, which I don't like. The bread was also fantastic! Parking is a bit of a mess, as there are not many spots and the location sits on a busy road so cautious to pull!

The best place in town to make an egg sandwich, cookies and they make an incredible cheesecake. Better than anywhere, including NYC. My children also love this place that is a total bonus.
