Bidrage med feedbackNot much flavor or ingredients in Ramen.. noodles, broth, dumplings. Sushi cut so thin that you can see through it. Smells off inside.
Place was alright. Wasn't really wowed. Another meal we had was the Shrimp Tempura dinner- I think that was the name- that one was not worth it. Staff was nice though. :
It was kind of confusing at first. You have to go to the end of the room to be seated instead of someone coming to the front to seat you. It’s also kind of crammed. It’s unclear if cutlery is available. I don’t know how to use chopsticks and that’s all I was given so I just got sushi. The sushi itself was great and at a great price but it takes forever to come out. I would give this a 3.5/5 but I’m rounding it up to a 4 just because the staff is extremely nice.
It’s disappointing when the item a place is named for is not brought out freshly rolled. I ordered a sumo roll and the rice was compact and hard, I could tell it had been pre-rolled because even the tempura flakes had that ivy temp and taste. I don’t know why there was ranch dressing drizzled on it…the salad also had ranch (didn’t ask for it that way, just came that way) so maybe it was just an after thought to add more salt in a very bad way. I ate two bites, let them know when they checked that it did not seem fresh and the rice was ice cold and they still left it on the bill too. The shoyu ramen was OK. Just egg noodles in a salty broth, no other ingredients besides three gyoza dumplings on top. The chicken teriyaki was too sweet and the sauce was gooey. I had just hoped for more. I guess if you feed a bunch of people who don’t mind ranch on their ice cold sushi and they keep coming back, then there’s no need for higher standards. (Sigh). Please try harder. Japanese food can be so good and this is not representing it well.
We have dined in this place countless times. We also have had the chance to order from them online. We love the food. We like how pleasant the staff are. The restaurant is small but very relaxing to us. It is a place where I take my kids at times when I am too tired to make Asian food but still want the feel of eating home-cooked meals.
