Bidrage med feedbackRather disappointing. Poor service (starter dishes served same time as main course), accompanied by some food not being up to scratch. My son had a lovely roast beef dish but my fish n chips and grandson's chicken goujons were over cooked, dry and like cardboard. Complaint fell on deaf ears. It would appear staff are either not properly trained or could not be bothered.

The service was terrible, and some of the main course portions were very small. Five people had already finished their meals by the time the sixth person was served. The chips were inedible because they were extremely hard and dried up. The prices were very high considering the poor quality of the food. I would not recommend this restaurant.
We come to The Lion regularly as it’s local and has great food. Last night we went to one of their specials nights to have Italian themed tapas. All I can say was it was superb! A great variety was on offer and all the dishes were tasty and well presented. I can recommend you go and eat here especially when they are having a specials night! Staff are great too!
Good smoked salmon panini, ordered pudding which came with ice cream but asked for custard instead; chef whipped up some specially which was impressive! Best of all, utterly delightful, amusing staff: Sam, Flo, Maddie and Conor-you were seriously fab!
