Della Santina's Trattoria Sonoma

Chose to celebrate our anniversary here but walked away feeling let down. Had a nice table outside and service started out ok but became very slow and unattentive. Mozzarella/tomato starter was very good, main courses (lasagna cannelloni) were tasty but were barely warm. Server never checked on us so we could ask to heat food. Would have liked to try dessert but got frustrated with the lack of attention so asked for check and left. Not the best way to celebrate an anniversary and would not return.

We were celebrating a birthday and we picked the right restaurant! The food was amazing, the service was first class (our waiter was engaging and very sweet; I think he enjoyed serving a tables of 4 partying women. We will pass the word to our friends that your restaurant is a high-end and fun experience.

You'll not find a better Italian restaurant in Sonoma. Had a recent dinner with friends and gave ourselves to the owner, Rob Della Santina and his capable service team. They asked us about what we were interested in from the menu and specials and then about our wine preferences. the food was excellent, portion size just right and wine pairings delightful. When the weather permits outside dining and you're looking for a relaxing dinner, this is the spot.

My husband and I sat on the patio at this restaurant, which was nice but very noisy. There was a loud child at one table, followed by a group of young women who were also loud. The food was mediocre - my husband's duck was overcooked and my steak was undercooked. The vegetables had no flavor. The Affrogato dessert was tasty and the wine was good, although a bit pricey. The service was okay, but the staff seemed hurried and impatient. I would not suggest dining at this restaurant.

After a long flight and a few hours exploring the Wine Country, we brought our visiting relatives from California to Della Santina for the first time. Our request for an outdoor table was met with a smile, allowing us to skip the line of waiting guests. The waiter and staff were friendly and helped us choose our meals. Our food was served promptly and with professionalism. The portions were generous and delicious. We will definitely be returning, as we always do when we are in the Wine Country. Keep up the great work!
