Clean Slate Wine - SOLVANG

I recently dined at Clean Slate Wine Bar, and it was a wonderful experience. The wine selection was excellent, and I really enjoyed trying out the different options. The best part of my visit was the host, May Apple. Her friendly and welcoming demeanor enhanced the evening and made me feel very comfortable. I am looking forward to coming back to Clean Slate Wine Bar for another enjoyable time!

The tapas dish we ordered was wonderful, but the three small crostinis were not enough to fully enjoy it. When we asked for more, we were offered crackers instead of additional crostinis, which made us feel like we were being charged extra. The server seemed cold towards us, except for Jason who brought the extra crostinis and was very friendly. We didn't get to fully experience all that the restaurant has to offer, as we had to wait 20 minutes for more bread to finish our delicious dish. We understand that larger parties were being turned away, but it wasn't our fault that we were seated at the largest table. In hindsight, we may have been frustrated that we were seated there without asking, especially since we only wanted drinks before dinner. We appreciate the response from the restaurant and have amended our review to better reflect our experience. Thank you for addressing our concerns.

Outstanding hospitality! The food was excellent, the staff was very knowledgeable, the host was warm and welcoming, the chef was dedicated, and there was an awesome story behind it all. The owner even offered another customer a 2 for 1 wine tasting, let us pet their dog, and personally came over to check on us with enthusiasm and interest. It was a fantastic experience!

Really enjoy this place... Jason and chef wife Melissa are great! Joey is the best!

The owners were simply amazing and so accommodating. The food looked delicious and the service was impeccable. Our only regret was not being able to stay there longer.
