Gaucho Steakhouse - Soltau

This is the second time we ate in the Gaucho Steakhouse, the first time in November 2016 and the second time in October this year. Both times the food was excellent. There is a good variety and taste when great.

We visited Heide Park and then we wanted to go to dinner. So I found Gaucho No. 2 place in Soltau, we booked the table and it was a good idea because the place was almost full. We have 4 children... so we order almost all children's menu Pasta, Fritten, Snitzel and a few steaks. My choice of Ribeye was perfect, it was the right size and exactly prepared as I wanted. A speciality of the place is the Enkartofel together with the meat.

We went there on a Saturday night w/o calling beforehand. We ordered steak, chicken and meat loaf, which were all good. The salad buffet was quite small and underwhelming. We liked the free marsala wine our grumpy server brought us as an aperitif. While the...food was ok/good, the atmosphere was kind of dark, gloomy and run-down. Don’t expect a fine steakhouse, it’s more of a typical rural German restaurant that happens to serve steak dishes. For what it’s worth, I think the prices were more than fair.

Ordered the dish Gigantos and it was great, enaugh food for two people! The meat was fine also the sides. You can make your own salad at the saladbar, simply but fresh. The only thing negative was that the minced meat was a bit salty.
