Really friendly place to eat. Food is excellent. Not quite cheap (from a central European perspective), but on average for Norwegian standards. I don't care that, like not many places in Norway, ready to eat (still my central view of the EU).

In winter, this is a great place to feel comfortable with friends and play some board games on the comfortable couches. In summer you can sit outside and drink a beer in the sun with a great view over the fjord and the occasional porposes over the water.

Great place to enjoy a drink and the beautiful scenery. Friendly staff. Good selection of beers on the tail. We didn't eat here, but the food looked good. Comfortable seating inside and outside.

One of the best places to hang in Sogndal. During the summer months there is an outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy views of the Sognefjord. The options for drinks here are quite good. Whether you want to unwind with a cup of joe or with a beer this place has enough to meet both needs. During the non-summer months (i.e. right now) the place is relatively quiet. They typically put on good atmospheric music as well making it a nice place to kick back and read or hang and play card games with friends.

Cosy little pub. It's also the local tourist info, and works as both a little cafe and pub. Very good selection of local beers on draft and bottle. Does have a small little outside service for the sunny days. Fishsoup was excellent when I tried it. Heard good things about the rest of the menu. They have studentprice on beer.
