Bidrage med feedbackWe ordered to eat to go a few years ago while vacation in the opposite, and it was pretty good. Of course, we heated it again when we came back to our campers and didn't think much about it. this time, we've gotten together. great disappointment! you eat is a bit overpriced over 100 for 4 people. the worst thing was that it was cold! the carrots were cold in the refrigerator! a strange thing is that they serve it on very cold metal floors, which does not help. I guess the problem is not hot enough with her display area where they get her to eat. the taste was ok, nothing remarkable. independent of this, there are many other BBQ joints in the opposite, which serve them delicious hot foods. we are not going back.
My wife and I stopped by on our honeymoon on the recommendation of the employees at the Lodge store. The restaurant was clean and the girl at the register was nice and super helpful. We tried the pulled pork, spare ribs, fried catfish and bbq chicken. All were very good but the standout was the bbq chicken. Absolutely amazing! Mashed potatoes and squash casserole were very good as well and we topped it all off with a good cherry cobbler. They offered three sauces: Family Recipe, Carolina Gold, and Hot Spicy. All were tasty but my favorite was the Carolina Gold while the wife's was Hot Spicy. The most outstanding thing about the visit was the souther gospel music playing and the signed pictures of various groups on the walls. I love quarter music and it's not something you often run across in a restaurant. The only negative is the price. It's a bit high but in line with what I've come to expect from a restaurant in a tourist town.
Warning! Run Away! Food was horrible! Please don't waste your money here. Customer service was horrible. We placed an order through the phone, and upon entering, I should've left. The place smelled horrible. While eavesdropping on a conversation between the cook and the cashier, they mentioned that they we're out of wings. I thought to myself, probably due to my order. Nope! After 25 minutes, I got a call that my food was complete. I walked in, and paid. AND after paying!!!! I was told that my ordered of 10 piece chicken wings wasn't completely fulfilled, and that I would be receiving 7 wings and 2 chicken tenders. Chicken tenders.....? Yes, they fulfilled my chicken wing order with Chicken tenders, and upon asking for a refund for something I didn't want. They decided not to accept my refund, but suggested it's more food for my buck. After telling them twice, I didn't want it. They began debating against the refund, I decided I didn't want to debating with the ignorant folks at Tony Gore's BBQ. After my girlfriend called through the phone, they mentioned they didn't know about the wings, until I paid. Like seriously, I saw the cook tell you about the wings shortage. Just a recommendation, don't assume something about a stranger and always call the customer to see if they're ok with a change in their order.
My husband and I ate there. We ordered of the bar. We asked if that was baby back ribs and they said yes... actually it wasn't it was the large ribs they were so much fat on them with little meat which was dried out and not worth eating . He ordered green beans with potatoes and they were swimming in water or oil and not worth eating. I ordered chopped BBQ with no flavor and the vinegar based sauce was horrible. I think it was a cup of grease. It was way overpriced what we ordered was 47.00 and it wasn't worth 5.00. We will never go back there.
I bought 2 lbs of brisket now I wish I had asked for a sample because it was not smoked but boiled! The quart of peach cobbler that I wasted my money on was a mess. It didn't resemble peach cobbler. I was visiting from another state so I couldn't go back ask for a refund so I wasted 70. The place is cute the employees are very nice but they really need to find someone who knows how to cook!
