Taverna Verde - SERRARA FONTANA

This very simple tavern/Turttoria is located high in the Icelandic hills and is specialized in cannons and wow, nail it! no printed menu was offered and no English spoken and we went with what was offered. a tagliatelle style pasta with a rabbit ragu. to begin was one of the most beautiful pasta dishes I've ever eaten. the woman had an equally large melanzane alla parmigiana burst with taste. we then shared the rabbit caserole that was epic with wonderful home made crispy chips served. highly recommended and can wait to return! only negatiw, house red and thankful

Lovely change from seafood. All home grown products even the wine. Delicious verdure, pasta and of course rabbit. A must visit and get there before sunset so you can watch the sun set from up there-beautiful.

Le fettuccine fatte in casa con melanzane e provola sono eccezionali. Noi siamo vegetariani e ci sono opzioni di verdure sfiziosissime, come fiori di zucca fritti con ricotta al limone e friggitelli.

Tutto buono come la volta scorsa: antipasti, bucatini con coniglio all'ischitana, 1/2 coniglio, baba'. Speriamo di ritornarci.

Siamo appena usciti da questo ristorante e non ci sono parole per descrivere la gentilezza del personale, ma soprattutto il cibo buonissimo e genuino che ci hanno servito!! Davvero un posto eccellente, consigliatissimo!!!!
