Very kind, gets busy suggest making a reservation in advance. Delivery drivers be aware might have to wait a while to pick up customers food especially in the morning due to it being so busy.

Been to this Portage Bay restaurant on Roosevelt a handful of times now and all have been good experiences. Their cobbler French toast (and the regular French toast) is amazing especially as you can go to the fruit bar and add whip cream, an assortment of fresh fruit, coconut, and even chocolate chips! Today I was here for a work related holiday gathering. The owner was out and about throughout the dining area greeting guests and helping the waitresses with cleaning tables. He asked our large group whose birthday was coming up (mine is in a few weeks) and they covered my dish on the house! Gets a little busy in the morning so I would encourage making a reservation online ahead of time, but I suppose that is good for business! I would recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a delicious brunch spot.

Great food, surprisingly poor service. Very whatevah on the approach and then too busy chatting with the hostess to bring a check, sandwiching a surly expectation that of course you know our restaurant and my vague allusions to a barely visible counter should be all the introduction you need to a fruit bar. (That's a snack one carries in one's pocket, right? The food, however, would bring me back. I don't do breakfast, but I'd get up and show up for breakfast again even if promised the same dull service. Challah French toast, stellar fruit bar (turns out that's like a salad bar, only fruity , and stand up spoon coffee.
