Wonderful cooked breakfast at £7. Surprised they don't charge more. Quality of the bacon and sausage was really high.

Had a great Rioja wine tasting experience. A great range sampled and super snacks to go with each wine tasted. Well done. Fab afternoon out!

We had lunch here and it was very good. Quite a limited menu but the service was excellent. Reading previous reviews since we came home I wondered if it was the same place, but as there was nowhere else to eat it must be the same restaurant.

I am going to let this go but then saw other reviews on Tripadvisor so wanted to say that I sadly agree, My experience of a few weeks ago. I expect this place once was very cool, with clever decor. It now looks a little used. Like some of the other users I was too late for breakfast. Yes, my fault but there was no warmth in the staff. The coffee was lukewarm. Do not bother until they up their game.

As we were the only people in there, there was no atmosphere to speak of. We took and menu each and seated ourselves. It was 12.30 on a Tuesday. After a couple of minutes we were approached by a waitress (the first person we had seen) still with her coat on. My partner asked if it was at all possible to have a late breakfast. She was sharp and delighted in telling us that our order for scrambled eggs and bacon could not be filled as it was past breakfast time and the chef was too busy. Having experienced nothing but charm in North Yorkshire till now her manner came as a surprise. They had no customers in the restaurant and the car park was empty. We left and ended up having a lovely meal in our rented cottage. Also, the place smelled as if it hadn't been occupied for some time. The interior had been given some thought but it was a let down and very dark inside. Such a shame as it is large and could do a great trade. I didn't use the ladies so I can't comment on them.
