Bidrage med feedbackWhen it comes to finding a jerk restaurant that specializes in jerk pork rather than chicken, it can be a bit of a challenge. Luckily, this particular spot not only offers jerk pork but also provides a generous portion size, even in their smaller takeout container. It may be worth considering the smaller combo option, as the difference in meat between the small and large portions doesn't seem significant, while the larger portion comes with more rice and peas. For those looking for a heartier meal, the smaller option might be the hidden gem. The coleslaw, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing. While it was a nice blend of grated cabbage and raw carrot, it lacked the usual dressing that enhances this side dish. Although I initially thought the coleslaw was included in the meal combo, I was surprised when the server asked if I wanted it separately and charged me $1.50 for the small container. Overall, the well-seasoned and tender meat, as well as the generous portion sizes, make this restaurant worth a visit.
The food used to be delicious, but it's clear that there has been a change in chef since Covid-19.
I consistently order the jerk chicken dinner at this restaurant, and it never disappoints. The seasoning and cooking are excellent, and the rice is flavorful and somehow feels lighter (I suspect they use basmati rice). In addition to their jerk chicken, they offer a variety of fish and seafood options as well as daily specials. The jerk chicken shawarma is a delicious option, but it tends to sell out quickly so it's best to arrive early. Despite being a busy spot with a frequent line, the staff are efficient and the wait time is minimal. This neighborhood restaurant is a hidden gem that everyone should try, with very affordable prices. As for parking, the lot can get busy but there are usually plenty of spaces available.
A legendary place that my family has been going to for decades. Wishing many more years of good business. The real deal, you have to try it!
Best jerk pork outside of Jamaica. Curry chicken is bomb too! They also sell boxes of Allen's beef patties! Add a bag of coco bread and you are set.
