The beer is cheap, the drinks are huge, the food is good. Not great, but good. We often share the salad with shrimp or quesadillas. It is a good place for people watching and reviewing the surfers.
And it's great! This is a beach, sandy floor, no Frills restaurant with excellent food and monstrous size margaritas. The service was great and the suggestions made by the waiter were appreciated. You will be full, happy, and with some money still in your wallet. We had the privilege of sitting near some local gentlemen who hired a musician to calm them down with traditional songs. The music and emotions made the evening for me. I love Mexico.
Cool place, good food, good service, I have the cielo rojo drink, it is beer and clamato served in a huge glass, fantastic!
Upon arrival we were looking for a inexpensive place to eat with an ocean view. We found it on our first try. The food was exceptionally good and outside under a roof with a great ocean view. We found the prices to be less than...the restaurants in the city center. This is very casual restaurant with dirt floors. So come as you are.
The cake lady on Calle Marlin sent us to this restaurant. Longtime established restaurant right on the beach and frequented by locals as well as tourists. Margaritas are so big it takes a strong man with two hands to carry it to the table. Ordered...a shrimp ceviche tostada and a side of beans- a full plate, so food portions the size of the drinks. Very pleased with our meal and they packaged the leftovers nicely. Try it!
