8-bit Donuts - Savannah

The first experience here was okay. The worker was nice and described each donut, they tasted pretty good. I have tried to get another donut from here to no avail, due to the worker being in the back with headphones in, not paying attention to the customer waiting 5 minutes at the register for some assistance. I decided to leave, as I didn?t want to waste more of my time and left feeling annoyed, not wanting to come back.

Great donuts! The owner is really sweet and personally makes the donuts herself! I tried the Twix donut and OMG? delicious!! Glad I found this place!

Really cool donut shop. Donuts need work. Love the layout of the shop. There are video game consoles set to free to play, playing tables, etc. Great setup overall. The floor alone is worth a visit. BUT...the donuts themselves were underwhelming. As if they were cooked just a bit too long. For me, donuts should be light in texture, not spongy and chewy. Also had an iced coffee which was good. I LOVE donuts arcades so I was super pumped to try this place in the neighborhood got there at 1:30 on a Sunday (supposed to close at 4). They hardly had any donut lefts didn?t have any ?legendary? donuts besides 1 frogger biscoff, so I tried the frogger. It didn?t look super cool or fancy so that?s probably why it was still there but I wanted to give it a shot. I also ordered a mocha which brought my total to $8 for a donut and drink. As a board game and donut enthusiast, I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately they were quickly dashed. After they opened 5 minutes late, the woman who unlocked the door didn't open it for us. Instead she, unlocked it and walked away and continued to go about her business. She didn't even greet us when we walked in. They have a very small game selection. And even smaller selection and amount of donuts. That were not very good. Especially given all the hype... they were super sweet and one was a bit oily. I get that there small batch and niche, but man taste and price don't add up for me.The place itself was dark I don't know if she had just not turned on all the lights and felt a bit dingy... But not in the good way. Very disappointed.
