Great dining experience! After a little snafu with our reservation, which Paul, the owner quickly resolved, we were seated. The restaurant was very busy but our waitstaff were friendly and attentive and our drinks and food all arrived in a timely manner. I opted for the 3 course prix fix, 3 courses for $36. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was amazing and I could have just had that for my entree, it was that large a serving and that good. We also had the lobster risotto( large chunks of lobster, rich and decadent), the sea bass, creole pasta, and the lamb ragu. We were all very happy with our food, the portions were generous and the prices reasonable! The only glitch was they had run out of their homemade donuts! We settled for flourless chocolate cake, bread pudding and Paul graciously sent over a slice of their homemade ricotta cheesecake and chocolate express cheesecake- all were equally delicious. There are many great restaurants in the Sarasota area but I think this may be one of the best since we moved here from NY 6 years ago! Keep up the good work, Paul! We will definitely be back!
Great service and wonderful meal. I would recommend this restaurant.
It was better than okay. Food was good. Service was really, really slow. Owner and comedian bartender were delightful. We were upstairs next to the band. It was loud so we couldn’t talk. Menu was interesting and prices were a good value. Upstairs was cozy and warm.
When the hostess was was sitting us she informed us that it was was Happy Hour and all drinks including bottles of wine were half price. The waiter arrived and also informed us that it was Happy Hour and confirmed that all drinks including bottles of wine were half price. So we ordered a bottle of wine with dinner.
