Super ver nice historical Hotel, excellent attention in Santiago City , Dominican
Staff is very helpful, food was delicious, place was overall clean. BUT... The pool was a bit neglected. I didn't use it just based on the looks of it, and I didn't see anyone in it either. The front sign can use a little maintenance as well.
Its allright for such an old hotel. The wifi is kinda bad because of the thick walls, but the service is great, it includes breakfast and has quite the historical value. Just know that because to this everything might be a bit creaky. However its kinda as good as it gets in santiago
Although this Hotel has a significant historical value and it's part of Santiago's history, the hotel facility is ok, nothing to brag about. I would not recommend Matum as a layover option
