La Playa Bar Grill - SANTA ROSA BEACH

Skiiiirrrrrtttt. New LaPlaya hold up. Def the local bar with 5 Five high def TVs w/ sports package for college and NFL football with that no fuss beach bar feel. But not unfussy enough to miss out on delicious food. We had the tacos, cheese dip, and quesadillas for the W! LaPlaya is under new management since April 2019 and it shows, come find out yourself...it's delectable and popular. Instagram novelty photos available You want quality food and entertainment? The food was bland and mediocre. Def not worth the price. $15 dollars for two tacos that are ehhh and some chips and salsa. The chips were bland as well. Friends got the Quesadilla and it was burnt and bland. Not one person in a group of five finished their meal and it wasn't because they give you a lot. The people were very nice though although there were issues with the order but the Mexican corn was good. Great location leaves it with room for improvement. That area could use a delicious taco place as the location is pristine.

Sooooo glad this place is open again. Nothing like sitting outside watching chips and salsa and drinking margaritas!!

Ok folks... if this rating is based on food only, I 'd give it5 stars easy! 2 of us ordered the bowls with black beans and rice, one with Barbacoa Beef and one with Chicken. OMG the Barbacoa Beef was so good! Whatever you order here pay the up charge for this beef! You will thank me! Yes the chicken was good also... but you can get that anywhere. The other 4 people ordered different tacos kind of pricey 2 tacos for $15. The one person who ordered her taco with the Barbacoa Beef is still talking about this meat! The other very exciting thing we ordered was the Empanada Appetizer. Listen, when the menu board reads available until sold out that 's a very good sign you should order it. And I 'm so glad we ordered it! Yes it is $10, BUT... you get 2 large pieces of delicious crunchy dough filled with seasoned beef, onions, peppers and cheese. Kudos to this place! This place lost to valuable stars on easy things... c 'mon you gotta get this stuff right! In no particular order they have one bathroom with one toilet and they let it run out out of toilet paper! Sheesh!! When we asked someone to refill it he was gone 3 4 minutes... finding toilet paper?? I have to say I 'm not a fan of ordering at the counter unless it 's Taco Bell which this is not. There are very few tables inside honestly you want to eat outside on Spring Break. It was so chilly get some heaters folks! I know it 's FL but you 'll use them! Lastly , we were all talking about the different hot sauces when the most senior worker came by closing up umbrellas around us. Truly he was a nice guy and very helpful. But he jumped in to our conversation to mention that tomorrow they 're getting a new brand of even better hot sauces. But he wouldn 't mention the brand. Really? Ok I 'll play the game! I 'll definitely return for the food and I 'd really like to enjoy the patio on a warmer night. The place is situated on a busy corner great for people watching!

Moved to SRB and heard this place had awesome fish tacos! Then was bummed to see it closed! Well to our surprise it opened a month or so ago and if I could eat there every day I would! The fam loves Mexican food! The management is super awesome and friendly! Moved from SoCal (where the Mexican food is amazing), so we're thankful to have these guys right down the road, cause the food rocks and check out our cool to go plates!
