Bidrage med feedbackI have now eaten at Petit Masala 7 or 8 times--alone, with my husband and with friends. Every single meal has been absolutely delicious, the service is so friendly, the ambience is very, very simple and spotlessly clean and the price for a meal is so inexpensive I worry about them being able to survive! Their lemonade has cumin seed steeped in the simple syrup and it is incredibly refreshing and they actually put enough ice in the glass for the drink to be cold (I live in San Jose del Cabo 6 months/year and it's one of my pet peeves here--not enough ice). The menu is quite small, so at this point I've eaten everything they have on the printed menu. It's all good--you simply can't go wrong. The butter chicken is the best I've ever had and I've been to a LOT of famous and fancy Indian restaurants. I've had the shrimp curry, the lamb curry when it's available--the rice and the naan are so fresh, the dal is wonderful too. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant--I just talked myself into going there tonight! Great service, great food, nice location in the center of town. I hope this young couple has great success.
My husband and I had a very pleasant experience of having one of the best Indian meals we have ever had. This meal was served by the young owner and made by his wife who used to be a pastry chef. This meal will stay in my memory for a long time. Thank you for this incredible experience to the team at the restaurant Petit Masala at San Jose Del Cobo, Mexico. The samosas, and kababs were cooked to perfection. The crust brought out the best of this savory item. We savored the excellent spread of chutneys. Every piece that went into the mouth just melted while all the delicate flavors erupted pleasing the senses .
The food is good, but there are basically no choices. There is a vegetarian set menu and you can go for chicken if you wish, but you cannot choose how you want it. I got a garlic butter chicken dish that was very disappointing, nicely...spiced but nothing i would expect from an authentic Indian restaurant (which it is I believe it's rather overpriced considering it is a set menu. Beers are imported, and again, while nice, they are awfully expensive pesos a bottle, usually you'll pay between and pesos for a bottle of the very good local brands) Also, service is very slow. I had to wait for about minutes between appetizers and entree even if i was the only person eating at the time. On the plus size, the owners are lovely and the place is very neat. Maybe my expectations were too high
Petite Masala is an excellent choice for dinner in San Jose Del Cabo. Petite Masala continues to improve every time I come back for a great dinner.... Now with outside dinning, it's perfect! The fresh herbs and spices just make everything taste awesome!! If you are looking to try something different try Indian food, so much flavor!! I would like to recommend to everyone to try Petite Masala for a great dinning experience....Enjoy the dinning experience!!!! I will be back!!!!
This is a very simple restaurant but the quality of the food is truly exceptional. With a limited choice of vegetarian or meat curries and a wide range of side dishes you will be blown away by the taste of authentic Indian spices and homemade ingredients. This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in San Jose (who would think you can get better Indian food in San Jose than you will find in most restaurants in Delhi) and still relatively undicovered!
