Popped in here on a morning walk around San Jose. We had a decent breakfast and coffee. We ate in the courtyard and the service was good! I had the breakfast burrito with potatoes - small portions but enough to satisfy. My husband had an omelette. We didn't try the adult milk shakes but they sound delicious!
George, a Canadian, is the owner and chief chef and "bottle washer". His breakfast dishes are tastefully prepared and more than ample. Didn't have lunch but menu looks great. Great fresh jams that he makes and sells by the pint. Open air and inviting!
For locals and perhaps some tourists in the San Jose hotel corridor, this can be a welcome respite from tacos and fajitas ( as much as we love these). Think of Rueben sandwich's real turkey sandwich's, Pot roast and you got the general picture.Very small but pleasant. Excellent service and good prices. It sits in a more or less lobby patio of a small excellent boutique hotel, but that is a story for another day. Well worth a visit.
Stopped by CJ's for breakfast and had a nice long chat with the owner (Canadian).Ordered our meals and they came up fairly quickly and they were excellent. My hubby had an iced coffee drink that was even better than Timmy's Iced Cap.This was good value for your money. Lots of food prepared very well.
