Silvestre - San Jose

What an amazing experience this was! The flavours and story telling made it such a unique dinner as we journeyed through Costa Rican food and culture. Charlie our server was fantastic at explaining each dish and helping us understand the tastes we experienced. They also adapted the menu to be gluten free too. Definitely a restaurant that should be top of your list when visiting San Jose!

Dining at Silvestre was more of an all-round amazing experience and a trip down the history of some of Costa Rica’s main dishes and ingredients. We had a set menu ordered and by the time we were through to the last dish we were super full. It’s definitely a place where effort has been clearly invested in giving the customers an experience along with a delicious dining experience. We’ve also learnt a lot more about some of the Costa Rican ingredients. It’s a fancy place and it’s definitely upscale in terms of pricing, but also worth the money. Highly recommended!

We went there last Saturday to celebrate my husband 's birthday. We were greeted by the Chef Santiago Fernandez who was super nice. We were hosted by the sommelier Heiner and the service was excelent. He even gave us a small tour to the cava at the end. We had the tasting menu and I highly recommend it. The food is expensive but worth every penny. We 're both Costa Ricans and I can assure the Chef managed to bring our regular everyday flavors to high cousine. The story behind each dish makes it a unique culinary experience. Thank you all for the 'wow ' evening.

Absolutely amazing dinner experience. I did the tasting menu with chefs wine pairing and left VERY impressed. Service was phenomenal.

My wife and I ate here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary! It is an exceptional restaurant with an incredible tasting menu, friendly staff and romantic interior. It deserves a Michelin star for sure! We ate the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing and the cost was $300usd. Expensive but absolutely worth the experience.
