Chocatoo - San Jose

I love their chocolate chunk cookies, especially warmed. blbut when I had about half of the cookie, it seemed like it was soft and chewy because it was half-baked. Maybe that's how all soft cookies are made. We also had their carrot cake and red velvet cupcake. The carrot cake was good. It was moist and a burst of flavor. And it wasn't too sweet. The red velvet cupcake was not what I expected it to be. It wasn't dry, but I hoped for it to be a little more moist than the way it was Overall, this is a good place to have great treats. They're a bit pricey, but they have good quality goodies that's worth a try.

Cute name! Reese's peanut butter and a chocolate chip cookie are what we purchased in the heart of this fantastic market. We could not resist! They are displayed so... they tempt you. They smell great, especially coming right out of their oven. Hard to just walk on by without treating oneself! These cookies are a bit larger than normal and 2 of the best I have ever had. Oozy, fresh and full of chips. I rarely have paid $4.25 plus tax per cookie but... had to try. SO GOOD! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside as it should be! So, on the expensive side. Imagine buying a dozen as a gift or to bring to a party?! Oof! $4.25 x 12! Despite that, if I lived around here I would buy at least 6 per visit and freeze them. So for the price and the aloof, weird vibe of the 2 employees, 1 star off. Please young service people, appreciate your friendly customers!

Delicious cookies, though a tad pricey. I got a triple chocolate cookie and it was excellent: nice crispness on the edges but soft, warm and chewy on the inside. They managed to strike the perfect balance between being gooey but still having enough structural integrity to not just fall apart (Insomnia cookies, take note). Also got a chocolate mousse thing which was good, but didn't particularly stand out. The cookies are definitely the thing to get!

Love love their Reese Peanut Butter cookie! Stopped by and enjoyed it with My Mom! Absolutely Devine!!! Take a look.....

SUGAR ALERT! This place is located in downtown San Jose at a popular San Pedro square. I was excited to try this place because of the 4 stars on yelp. I wanted to try the molten choco lava cake but sadly it was sold out. So i tried the GF molten choco lava which tasted good but sweet. The next thing I tried was Chocolate brownie and I could not even finish One bite. It tasted like sugar syrup and not at all as brownie. After that I ate the chocolate cookie which was freshly baked. It was soft and literally melted in my mouth. Cookie also had excessive sugar but the fresh smell and softness made me ate it full. Service was quick but that is because everything was already prepared except the cookie. Parking is difficult to find near this place. This place was expensive than other desserts places. I will only go back here if I have sugar deficiency!
