Pompei's Grotto - San Francisco

We eat late and were among the last customers of the night. there was no feeling of pressure rushing and the staff was wonderfully helpful with recommendations. the food was delicious! we would definitely return.

The calamari was some of the best I have ever had. All where happy with their meal. I had the dinginess crab chipino was real good. Do use the bib.

This was our first visit to Pompei's Grotto and we will definitely be return customers. The menu had a variety of choices, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent!

Been a while since last visit, so pleased to see improvement in decor and ambiance. Food also seemed better. Great crab dishes as usual. The fish and chips were a happy hour deal. Fries are hot and perfectly salted. Crab cioppino was tasty and we mopped up the broth with the sourdough bread. Draft wine choices were nice too.

Food was absolutely awful (and definitely not cheap). The chicken was chewy. The food was greasy. It was the worst restaurant I’ve been to in SF. Extremely disappointed.
