Golden State Grill - San Francisc

Food is fantastic. Service is so-so, but food more than makes up for it. NY steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Vegetables that came with it were cooked perfectly too.

Golden State Grill serves high quality food at super reasonable prices. It's the kind of restaurant that I wish this neighborhood (Excelsior/Outer Mission) had more of. I've had slow braised short ribs and New York steak and both were cooked just right. The mashed potatoes and grilled veggies were well cooked and seasoned as well. I've only eaten in the restaurant once (well before COVID-19 days) but I have been getting their food to-go since.

Hidden gem in San Francisco. I was determined to find a restaurant near my friends place in the Excelsior neighborhood. We had hamburgers that were char grilled and delicious. The onion rings were crazy good possibly the best ever! If you're in the area you must give it a try. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

O man idk how I haven't reviewed this place before! Really good food and a nice family place. The little lamp cutlets are fantastic and they make a mean steak. Also the ambiance is nice and friendly servers too.Or you could just get a burger. Those are really good too!

This place is a gem! Great quality food at an amazing price point. We ordered the calamari, jumbo prawns and steak, and everything was so delicious. Ordered through Doordash so cannot comment on the ambience, but the food tasted like something you would find at a very high end restaurant, but at a much lower price.
