Bidrage med feedbackThe tortillas and margaritas that’s all I have to see!! And lobster but everything else was just ok
There are no shortages of Mexican joints in SD. You are really just 30 minutes from the border. In the Old Town area, I would say Cafe Coyote is probably the best option. You don't get 11k Google reviews for no reason. The meats are tender but not the most flavorful I have had in the SD area, the tortilla is also not the softest but acceptable. Good sauces. Overall the ingredients are fresh and the service is fast, there are plenty of seating capacity. I can imagine this place being packed during the tourist session. I wouldn't come here specifically but it is a solid Mexican joints is you are in the area.
Our favorite place for Mexican in Old Town San Diego. We had Fajitas, Pollo Al Carbon, Carnitas. Their handmade warm tortillas were authentic as it gets!
Walked up while it looked very busy with a party of 7, was told it'd be a 20 min wait. Some of us started to cross the street to wonder while waiting and then they called us back immediately. So, no wait. Service was great and we all got our food astonishingly fast. Plus, the food was great. Can't get any better.
Fresh made tortillas, great vibe! The margarita flight was a fun way to try all of the variations. Don’t be intimidated by the line, the wait wasn’t very long at all!
