We were a little reluctant to try this restaurant which had no recent positive reviews but in the end we are very glad we did. The restaurant is part of the Design Hotel and is tastefully decorated in white with touches of red. The menu was thankfully quite short but with quite interesting takes on traditional dishes of the area. I we had beef carpaccio and mollejas which were incorrectly translated as gizzards when in fact they are sweetbreads. Then we had a delicious quinoa and goat's cheese salad and a pork tenderloin which melted in the mouth. As the portions were not too big, we allowed ourselves to be tempted by dessert: crepes for me and a hot chocolate pudding for my guest. All this with an excellent bottle of Piatelli Malbec wine for less than €60 for the two of us. For the quality of the meal and the excellent service I consider that to be very good value for money. It is easily the best meal we had in Salta and one of the best in Argentina so far.
We didn't have the pleasure of eat at this restaurant, but we have to say that when we came asking for table, the host was very rude. She made the minimum effort for looking for a table.
Lovely presentation but fairly limited menu and one of the items was not available. Room is white, somewhat cold. Not too much ambience.
This place was a little tricky to find, there's no significant signage, but it was worth the search! We arrived around 8.30, early by local standards, and we were the first to be seated for the night. The food way exceeded any expectations, the type and quality I would have expected from a high end restaurant back home for 1/10th of the price! Service was excellent. I would almost return to Salta just to eat here again!
