Bidrage med feedbackOur decision to celebrate our fifth-year anniversary at Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner instead of the pricier alternative was a delightful twist of fate. The contrast between a potential $200 dinner at The Keg and our $80 meal here, including leftovers to savor, left us thoroughly satisfied and pleased with our choice.Accessibility is a non-negotiable factor for us as individuals with disabilities, and Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner went above and beyond to meet our needs. Being visually impaired, we greatly appreciated the staff's assistance. They read the menu aloud, made thoughtful dish recommendations, took our orders at the table, and provided prompt service throughout our meal. Their attentive care extended to checking in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. To top it off, Justin, one of the staff members, exemplified their commitment by waiting with us curbside until our ride arrived – a small yet meaningful gesture. The food itself was a revelation. Every dish was expertly cooked and brimming with flavor. In an era where dining out often breaks the bank, it was a breath of fresh air to discover an establishment that not only offered generous portions but also justified their prices with quality. For those who appreciate live music, Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner offers a special treat with live performances every Friday and Saturday evening, enhancing the overall experience. In sum, Red Truck Beer Truckstop Diner exceeded our expectations. It proved that exceptional accessibility, affordability, delectable cuisine, and a touch of live music can all coexist under one roof. We wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem for an unforgettable dining experience that won't break the bank.Wheelchair accessibility: there is a ramp that leads directly up to the side door, very very accessible
I'm assuming people come here for the beer, because the food seems like an afterthought. I ordered the brisket sandwich against my better judgment. In my experience, Vancouverites don't know what good BBQ is. I was already suspicious when the menu told me it was thinly-sliced brisket. Sliced brisket should be thick-sliced if it's reheated on a flat-top or it will be dry. Which this was. I usually like a little char on my BBQ, but this was mostly charred. The menu says it's smoked for 8 hours, but I could only taste char. On top of this, there was hardly an BBQ sauce on the brisket or mayo in the slaw. More dryness. The fatty brisket and the bread was the only thing that saved this sandwich from being a total loss. So I can't say it was horrible. I just wouldn't come back for that item. For 20 bucks I expected more. But I've come to expect this from breweries.
A true diner experience! It was easy to pick something from the menu and they were open to customizing items. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we even had some takeaway for leftovers. Yum! Also, the beer is great. Fresh and great choices. And family friendly!Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, but they have good kids will like on the menu.
Red Truck is a great place to hang with a group of friends. Yes, they definitely get busy but they have such a great space indoors and a nice covered balcony outside. Additionally, they have on site parking or street parking available. Also very easy to bike to!They always have about 12-16 beers on tap so you're likely to find something that catches your eye and an extensive food menu.We love their hot dogs. They have so many different options. Their fish tacos are pretty great with the fish being extra crispy. I've seen their buttered crispy sandwiches that also seem really appealing but I never seem to be that hungry. When I head here for dinner, that might be a great option.
I was a little skeptical of the food here, as I was expecting average food with beer being the highlight, but I was pleasantly surprised. I got the BLT, which was HUGE, packed with lots of fresh veggies bacon, and very nice. I could only eat half of it, had to take the rest home. My friend had the garlic fries which used a ton of real garlic, they said they tasted good. Enjoyed with a Cherry Sour which was refreshing I will go for the flight of beers next time. They have items with nuts on their menu (I have a peanut allergy) but after checking, they said the kitchen could easily accommodate my allergy which was great. Most of the seating is on high stools, and you have to pay order at the front before you eat. Bathrooms are down several stairs, so not wheelchair friendly.
