Bidrage med feedbackI had a long day at work, ate alone, and had a very delicious, filling, and satisfying dinner. My attentive server, Mark, was very informative and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the seasonal gazpacho soup, squash blossoms, lamb chops, and a scoop of gelato for dessert. I haven't had the first two courses before. The gazpacho definitely made me wish I opted to dine outside, as it was tangy and refreshing. The blossoms were perfectly crisp and light, if a tad bit spicy. It's not a bad thing, I just wasn't expecting it. The ratatouille and potato fingerlings were a bit more on the salty side, but the lamb chops weren't heavily seasoned so it worked out when eaten together. Can't go wrong with cinnamon topped vanilla gelato. I will definitely come back with some others in tow.

Plan B serves delicious options; we have always enjoyed our dinners. The prices are reasonable in today's market and we welcome the choice among traditional French dishes and other entrees. We were unhappy last night by the boisterous gang at the bar. Perhaps the owner could ask the bar folk to laugh and talk, but not to shriek or yell. It would help if they remembered they were in a nice restaurant, not a neighbor bar.
Cmon now. Thus is Sacramento. The Midwest of California. Tomato tartlett was tough filo dough filled with goat cheese and a fingernail amount of tomato. Really? In the middle of summer in the middle of the valley , they could not scratch up some real tomatoes? And they couldn 't take the time to make a pastry crust? Pathetic. And the tarte tatin was no such thing. Anyone with any culinary exposure knows this tarte is inverted to reveal caramelized apples. This was am Apple tarte. Not a tart taking. This place is fine for those who have never traveled, never gone anywhere, and have no idea what French cuisine is all about.
We had a fantastic experience celebrating my wife's birthday at Plan B. Chris was very helpful as we had to make adjustments to our initial reservation. When we arrived we were seated immediately. Started with cocktails and an appetizer special, stuffed squash blossoms. So good. There were eight of us so a lot of different entrees, which everyone liked a lot- linguini with clams, striped bass, rack of lamb, steak frites, and mussels. I had the rack of lamb and it was fabulous. We also tried a few desserts and they were outstanding. Overall a great evening. Outstanding service and just enjoyed Chris as our server.
