Thomas The Baker - Ryedale

I absolutely adored this bakery during my visit to Malton. I enjoyed both breakfast and lunch there, and even visited another branch in York the following day. The price-quality ratio was exceptional. I had the most delicious sausage roll ever, with a generous amount of sausage meat. I also tried a variety of items from filled rolls to pastries, and everything was delicious. The only downside for me was the coffee, which I didn't particularly enjoy. It's possible that I just got a bad cup.

Avoid this place at all costs. The food is terrible, particularly the sausage sandwich which is burnt to a crisp every time I have ordered it over the past 2 years. All the food here is consistently awful.

I have tried curd tarts from other branches of TtB in the past, and they never disappoint. However, we tried a few from the Malton stall last week and unfortunately, the crust was not as crisp as the ones we had before. Additionally, there were some strange hard bits in the curd that were not sultanas. It was a bit disappointing.

Good solid takeaway baking and pastries... no cafe sadly. The veggie pasties are lovely. You can get takeaway drinks as well.

Each time I'm in Yorkshire, one of these tarts is a must for me, I have tried them from many different places but this was the best I've ever eaten. Although weI didn't buy anything else, they had many delicious looking cakes, pies and and sausage rolls. Shop was very clean and service very good.
