Texas Cajun Connection - Roman Forest

My family tried: Fried fish, fried shrimp, chicken strips, crinkle fries, shoestring fries, and (low carb) blackened shrimp taco salad. Let me tell you, the fried fish was prepared with care, flavored right with a hint of spice, very delicate, flaky and when bit into had a crisp lite crunch in the batter- just plain delicious!!! The blackened shrimp, another winner!! The green sauce really brought it all together for me. My son liked his chicken strips, he rated it at the top of his fave chicken, it had a bit of kick to it with the cajun spices but it wasn't overpowering at all, just really flavorful. Very happy w our food and the owner was super cool he even checked on us and explained how he put together the taco bowl. Great Cajun place.

No complaints here. The food was amazing! We had the loaded fries and the chicken sandwich, which was more than enough for 2 people. I should of taken a doggie bag,but I just could not stop eating. Lol The owner is a really cool dude. If you like cajun it 's a must try. We will be going back, for sure. If you don 't know now you know

One of the BEST hidden gems I 've discovered since living in Texas. While hanging out with my aunt uncle who lives in Porter, they told us about this new food truck zone in the area that 's worth checking out. Decided to check out this spot. Been here several times over the past few months I must admit, I 'm in LOVE with this place! Let 's start with the fish tacos. They use fresh tilapia, some of the best I 've ever tasted; then it 's battered in a flavorful Cajun batter, fried to perfection and slid in between a perfectly soft shell topped with lettuce, cheese and spices to make some of the best fish tacos I 've ever had in my LIFE. Let 's move on to another one of my faves off their menu, the BBQ brisket fries. They use waffle fries that are well seasoned and perfectly fried topped with what I describe as amazing goodness. The brisket is smoked perfectly and very tender dressed in an amazing mild BBQ sauce. Both of these menu items are top recommended I can order either one a million times and won 't get sick of it! Additionally, the owners are this very nice and humble local couple. It 's tucked towards the back of the food truck zone so it 's easy to miss but if you 're in the area, this place is absolutely worth a visit!
