The Dam - Rockville

I think it's a wonderful land café. They serve a good burger, they call a dam a burger that contains all the beats a fried egg. They also make a decent basket of chicken wings and fries. And the beer is always cold.

The service at this restaurant was disappointing. While the food was good, the lack of understanding from our server made our experience less enjoyable. We requested veggies on our sandwiches, but only received salad on one of them. When we asked for more vegetables, our waitress seemed confused and brought us a basket to do it ourselves. After that, she didn't check on us and someone else ended up serving us. If the service had been better, we would consider returning to Rockville, but we prefer going to Kearney or Great Island where better service is guaranteed.

I believe this country cafe is fantastic. They offer a generous sized burger, called "The Dam Burger", with all the toppings and a fried egg. Their chicken wings and fries are also quite tasty. Plus, the beer is consistently cold.

Our server seemed confused when we requested veggies on our sandwiches, resulting in only lettuce on my chicken sandwich. When I asked for more vegetables, the waitress appeared agitated and claimed she didn't understand our request, even though we asked for "deluxe sandwiches" as stated on the menu. Eventually, she brought out a basket of veggies for us to add ourselves, and left abruptly without checking on us again. Another staff member cleared our plates later on. Unfortunately, the subpar service has deterred us from making the trip to Rockville again, as we would rather drive to Kearney or Grand Island for guaranteed better service.
