Bidrage med feedbackBest Taiwanese food we have found in Maryland! Better than two other (primarily) Taiwanese restaurants in Rockville. We were too busy eating and did not take pictures. Restaurant owner and customers were speaking Taiwanese to each. It brought me back to memories of Taiwan. Gave 4 stars only because I would have liked the noodle to be more al dente.
The food didn't look like the pictures and most of it was not to our taste. The only ok food was the oyster pancake and the soy milk. The food might be ok to others but it definitely wasn't like that for us. The area itself was also quite strange. The tables were cramped together and it wasn't a great environment overall. They charged plastic bag for 5 cents, which they should have asked about first. We were surprised they had to charge us for extra leftovers. The food was expensive, didn't look like pictures, and did not taste good. The curry looked and was bland. No green and they plated and decorated everything badly. Staff was nice enough but not professional, which was expected of a small restaurant. Not sure why I went here on my birthday, because the food ruined it.
Extremely large portion. Excellent asian flavour. Charging 18% tip for dine in during pandemic but still worth the price because the leftover takeaway can last for another meal. Nice and friendly staff. Highly recommended to homesick Chinese or foreigners who would like to have a taste of Chinese style stir fried food. Dine in is highly recommended because you wont get that authentic Chinese Wok Hei in takeaways. Recommendations: House pan fried noodles
Pros: Good authentic food Cons: Double check your receipts! They already add in tips on the total and they charge us additional extra $2 for nothing
From a Taiwanese perspective, this restaurant is super authentic! I would say they are the only authentic Taiwanese restaurant in the dmv area and the chicken popcorn 鹽酥雞 is a must!
