Takeya Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Very polite, friendly and food is really good the quality and presentation. Reasonable prices. Small spot but have had luck getting a table quite quick.

A lovely little sushi spot I recently discovered. Cozily tucked away in the Seafair shopping centre its easy to miss! Quick, efficent table service with sushi made with fresh, AUTHENTIC ingredients (no imitation crab here) that are easily recognizable via taste alone. Price points are rather high for a sit-down sushi restaurant; that would be my only real criticism.

I stumbled upon this charming Japanese restaurant by chance. They have a great selection of options and the combo set is a fantastic choice to sample a bit of everything on the menu. The food quality is excellent and the service is top-notch. The servers were attentive and cleared our table quickly. The restaurant is clean and I appreciate the open kitchen concept. Overall, another great addition to Richmond.

Small neighborhood restaurant run by Japanese. It's clean an seated comfortably. You might need to wait for table during dinner time. Prices are reasonable. I dine her once in awhile.

I highly recommend the Takeya Nigiri Set at this restaurant. The other rolls on the menu are just okay, nothing special. However, the Nigiri Set is worth the price as it includes seared fatty tuna, salmon belly, mackerel, sweet shrimp, eel, 3 pieces of salmon maki, and 3 pieces of tuna maki. The fish is fresh and the salmon and tuna belly are incredibly delicious, almost melting in your mouth.
