Restaurant Beuggen 1 - Rheinfelden

When we arrived, our reservation had not been noticed, although the restaurant was empty next to a table. The paper table cloth had spots that were unnoticed by the waitress. Despite our reservation, only one cutlery was on the table. When the waitress brought the missing cutlery, she didn't bring glasses. We had to remind her. The food was mediocre. I would have expected more. The salad was soggy with a too sweet sauce. The grilled vegetables were drowned in the oil. Soups and sauces from instant mixes. The skin of the coq au vin was still on. The pumpkin in bacon is still half raw. The desert was the star of the meal. A hot chocolate cake was definitely nice. All in all, we were disappointed and would not recommend this place.

I was in the guest house and of course had dinner at the bend 1 restaurant. First, the service was simply wonderful: friendly and knowledgeable. Your beer was excellent. And since it was a pifferling (chanterelle) season, I had the salad with warm Chanterelles: excellent! After a good break I had the classic liver cheese (lever meat) with potato salad and fried egg, a typical hearty dish from my past. The only curious fact is that half a liter (0.5 l) of beer was cheaper than 0.2 l of water. It is not unusual in Germany where it seems impossible to get only tap water that is naturally perfect to drink and often tastes better than the lukewarm mineral water that is served from a bottle. But I guess you have to realize that you're in another country...

Frisch renoviert ist das Schloss eine Augenweide. Auch die Speisekarte kann sich sehen lassen, ebenso ist der Service sehr aufmerksam. Gerne wieder!

Echt gutes Essen, herzlicher Service und vor allem nicht überteuert, wie viele andere (Hotel)Restaurants gerade an der Schweizer Grenze.

Das Ambiente ist etwas kühl - mancher mag es wohl so, der Service ist hervorragend, die Küche (geschmorte Bäckchen mit etwas bissfestem Gemüse (Geschmacksache) Zunge und Suppenfleisch und ebenfalls Gemüse sind gut! Das Hausdessert ist sehr fein!Die Gesamtnote liegt zwischen befriedigend und sehr gut!
