Batchley Spice - Redditch

This is a straightforward fish and chip shop for takeout. It's as simple as that. I can't emphasize enough that it's just a chip shop.

No wonder it was quite when the bill has increased nearly 50% in 5 months Poppadums up from 60p to £1 with no sauces, meat quality poor and rice isn’t even basmati… Keep clear

The basic menu should have indicated what we were about to experience. Whilst my sheek kebab was ok, my madras was clearly a curry that came out of a big pot. Something I had not experienced since the 1970’s. Unfortunately my partners meal was both scant in part (Tandoori King Prawn) with the Tarka Dall being inedible. Batchley Spice should hold there head in shame. We certainly will not be using this place again!

Had a couple of orders from here and usually its good. I never had a cause to complain before as food is normally hot and delivery quick. last time the chips was missing from the meal and the food arrived late. It was cold and had leaked all over the place. I called the restaurant about the chips. No refund available but promise of fresh chips. 30 minutes later once everyone had finished eating we had a knock at the door and a cold portion of greasy oily chips was delivered which went straight into the bin!. wont be going back for a while!

Wasn’t the best balti I’ve had , to me I’m a madras man , more heat than actuall flavour , maybe I’ve been spoilt in the past , my keema naan was lacking the keema part , I will try these again , hopefully it was an off day . There was definitely something missing not only in my naan , but also in my madras , sorry guys I was looking forward to trying you out .
