Second Cup - Red Deer

There is really nothing better than friendly staff in the morning! Coffee was excellent. Pastries are fresh. best coffee plant on the south side.

The Coffee Shop had a steady flow of traffic during my visit. There were two employees. They were busy talking to each other while I ordered and didn't focus on the customers. I ordered some baked goods and they forgot them and I had to remind them to get it. The hot drink was hot and delicious like baking.

We always go here if we want a nice hot drink. In the summer we came to a cold drink and brought our dog. We sat on the terrace and one of the staff came and offered her a dog contract. Great service, big drinks. I would recommend it very much.

I love Second Cup. I have been a fan for many years all over Alberta. Unfortunately, I have to admit the service at this location is BRUTAL! I like to stop for coffee on my way to work and this Second Cup is the only...location that is convenient. The atmosphere is quaint and the coffee is hot but I have had numerous problems with the service in the early mornings. For a few examples: Completely understaffed on many occasssions The drive thru takes FOREVER my order is always a simple coffee Overcharged given the wrong order Inside I found it no better the girls stood there chatting with each other as I stood there waiting to get served (on more than one occasion). the doors were not unlocked and it was already 7 minutes beyond what the sign on the door said. I have never written such a horrible review for any location but I had had enough with this Second Cup location and they have got enough on my money. I get better service at my local Mac's Convenient Store.
