Shanghai Express - Raleigh

Clear Soup was okay, its redeeming feature was the amount for the price. The Beef with Broccoli was very good, the beef is super tender and has a good mixture of all vegetables and meat. Will def get again. The Sweet and Sour Chicken (Qt) was not great, i probably wont order that again. It was just plainly fried chicken nuggets in tempura breading. The Chinese Donuts were delicious and I will def be getting that again.

Portions are good even on the generous side, however, flavors and texture not great. Sesame chicken was mushy on the outside and chicken was very dry. Fried rice with the meal was just brown rice with no flavor. The House Special Fried Rice was good and I thought the egg roll was tasty. I doubt I will order from this restaurant again.

There was no soy sauce or any sauce provided with the meal. The chicken entree tasted like fish had been cooked with it. Soup was okay. Would not order from here again.

Sesame chicken was alright, but sauce was very runny and thin. Wanted a thicker sauce.

The Sweet and Sour Chicken (Qt) was overcooked and the filler to chicken ratio was terrible. The Steam Dumplings were pretty good though. Over would not recommend this place.
