La Ferme de l'Odet - Quimper

We had a very nice dinner, lovely site and excelent service (special thanks to the owners who came and share a bit with us! I definetly recommand this place for a familly time or friends gathering... Go for it!!

La Ferme de l'Odet is a frustrating distance from Quimper: too far to walk easily, too expensive by taxi (because of their evening tariff), and frustratingly only ten minutes by car meaning going without drinking is a high price to pay for your ten minute...journey. The grounds and view are lovely. The dining room is pleasant, the tables well sized and generously spaced. Service was warm and professional although at this price I would normally expect to have drinks replenished by the waiter not by me. The food was good, very satisfactory but for the money we dropped we felt it was lacking the wow factor. The best bit, unfortunately for us having driven there, is the wine list. It is small, as you might expect, but very carefully chosen and exceptionally good value. They even have Grand Crus from great vintages which were perfectly affordable. We really regretted having driven and even considered leaving the car overnight and collecting it the following day. What this restaurant needs is a simple minibus to collect and return customers. We would even be willing to pay for it if it would mean enjoying the wines on offer. However, having said that, this doesn't seem to have put off the French at the other tables from drinking. Worth the trip.

Nous étions un groupe de 50 personne. La patronne qui vient râler parceque nous faisions trop de bruit ... mis à part sa les serveuse er serveur terrible. On y mange bien

Villetta bianca in riva al fiume. Ambiente di stile moderno, silenzioso e confortevole.2 Menu', da 35 a e 46 euro piu' la carta. 10 tavoli gestiti da due persone. Eravamo in tre. Gli starters ricercati: mantecato di crab, pesce azzurro, ravioli con duck - porzioni ridotte ma ben presentate e con grande personalità. Main molto piu' tradizionali: filetto e pesce del giorno fatti alla perfezione ma senza ricercatezze. Dolci buoni e ben presentati anche qui senza ricercatezze eccessive. Spesa 140 euro in tre con bottiglia di vino da 30 euro. Un ottimo ristorante per chi vuole mangiare bene, essere trattato bene ma senza necessariamente la ricerca della perfezione. Nota decisamente piacevole, chi ci ha servito al tavolo mi ha aperto due bottiglie di vino differenti per farmi scegliere quella che preferivo - gesto inaspettato e non richiesto. Un posto dove tornerei sicuramente.

Nous étions un groupe de 30 personnes et nous avions une salle à notre disposition. L'apéritif servi à l'extérieur était très agréable et nous avons pu profiter du cadre magnifique. Une fois installés à table, le service était froid voire glacial, pourtant nous étions un groupe très sympathique...Le repas était très bon et la cuisine raffinée. Etant intolérante au gluten, j'ai dû refuser 2 assiettes qui m'ont été servies alors que j'avais signalé mon intolérance.
