Meridian Cafe - Puyallup

Fantastic option for delicious American diner cuisine. The service is efficient and courteous, with a friendly and attentive staff. The food is expertly prepared and presented with care. Portions are generous and well worth the price. Whether you're in town for a quick stop or heading to the state fair, this is the perfect place to enjoy a satisfying breakfast or lunch. Ample street parking available. Highly recommended.

We chose to sit in a booth for the comfort of our group, but the only available booth still needed to be cleared. Despite this, we were happy to wait. Unfortunately, the server walked past us and greeted other customers who arrived after us before finally coming to our table. She rudely pointed out that there were other clean tables available. When I explained that we preferred a booth, she walked away without saying anything else. Feeling disrespected, we decided to leave. I usually don't complain about restaurant service, as I know it can be a tough job, but in this case the staff was clearly rude. This is a rare occurrence for me. We then visited The Rose, where we were immediately greeted and treated with kindness. The difference in service was remarkable. We will not be returning to the Meridian Cafe.

I had never noticed this restaurant until the other day when I was stuck in traffic downtown and happened to see it. We decided to give it a try, and it was decent. I ordered the country fried steak, my usual choice for breakfast, while my wife ordered the breakfast burrito. My steak was okay, not the best I've had. The crust was different and very greasy. The potatoes, eggs, and toast were good, though it's hard to mess those up. My wife enjoyed her breakfast burrito, but it also seemed a bit on the fresh side. If we were to return, I would order something different. The service was great, with a friendly young server. It wasn't busy when we were there, we were seated right away, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time.

My first time here and I will be back soon. We got seated quickly and they brought us a highchair for the baby. We had just the right amount of time to find what we wanted and ordered. The food was ready without much waiting time. It was very good. I got the turkey pesto sandwich with a side salad. All of the workers were very nice and polite. They checked on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. Excellent customer service.

Had an amazing experience here and the food was incredible!! Waitstaff was very kind and food was given to us promptly! Will be back
