Hemingway's Grille - Punta Gorda

The atmosphere is nice and set my expectations for a better meal. First we received bread with 2 different butters. It's a butter ball, one plane, one swimming in honey . This was served in a plastic solo cup. Come on Hemingway's, step up your game. I ordered a $10 chop salad. My mind was expecting a steakhouse chopped salad. What I got looked like it came from a high school cafeteria. I did not eat it yet because it arrived AFTER my entree! I had chicken for my entree. Very disappointed. It seemed like it was deep fried. The actual chicken had the appearance of angel hair pasta. I'm not sure what I ate. I had a bite of my friends short ribs. Although flavorful, I think I'm still chewing. I had high expectations, fell way short, I won't return.

Very nice evening dining outside. We went to see a band and really enjoyed ourselves. My friend and I both had a Caesar Salad and it was quite a plateful. We both enjoyed it. Her husband had a steak and was quite happy with it.

Ok, so hands down the best salmon in town. It’s beyond good so go try it. The music section is always top stuff. Probably overall the best restaurant in downtown PG. Go see for yourself!

Great atmosphere.. what we had was just ok. I would give them another try as I think they will get better with time.

Very good food. Chef personally came out to ask about our meal and was very attentive and caring. Not many chefs go that distance!
