Bidrage med feedbackHere is a very good restaurant/bar with a small menu, open only Thurs-Sun for dinner only; easy, right? Advertise no reservations accepted, BUT on every other Thursday they serve Prime Rib only, and you MUST have a reservation. The alternate Thursdays, you can not order off the menu, they have an all you can eat buffet for $99 pesos, one entree only, a surprise when you get there as to what it will be; last night was spaghetti.They serve Oysters, BBQ Ribs, Pizza, Hot Dogs, and appropriate sides. However, on Fridays you can only order the Oysters Rockefeller. Sat and Sun you can order Oysters on half-shell, Rockefeller, fried, etc. You need a playbook to be a regular at this tiny gem. Why they chose to make something so tiny so complicated is beyond me, but if I didn't live only 2 blocks away, I would not go; too freaking complicated.
Finally made it to Mordidas for Prime Rib. I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly. Potatoes were strange I hate to say and corn was not great but I like the place and will go back
Cafe Mordidas is a gem! It's a little off the beaten path right on the Rio Cualle- easy to walk to from the South Side or take a 60 peso taxi. The food is excellent, especially the ribs and their drinks are seriously strong. Everything is reasonably priced. I cant wait to go back
Me encantó el servicio, el sabor, la calidad, el ambiente, todo todo todo!Probamos la ensalada de la casa y costillitas, las bebidas, todo en su punto ... Los de al lado se notaba que son clientes repetitivos en pizza y otros wow, si que disfrutaron varias recetas de ostiones :DMuy único, con mucho toque personal. Mi velada entera fue MUY AGRADABLE, mi acompañante lo disfrutó y le fascinó.Gracias Rick & Sara por su excelente labor en Puerto Vallarta, sus chicos Claudia y ... se me fué el nombre del bar tender pero, muy amables y atentos.
Wow, and located in our own neighborhood. The owners Sarah and Ric have done a great job with the river front small restaurant. Every other Thursday the have Prime Rib Night. They have two seating 5 pm and 7 pm. The start you off with drinks between 5 pm and 6 pm. Then dinner is served at 6 pm or 8 pm. The Prime Rib was great and served with Mashed Potato's and brown gravy and a large Ear of Yellow Corn accompanied with Au jus, horseradish and a soft dinner roll. We also had a very good Red Merlo wine.The owner Sarah is the waitress, drink provider as it is a full bar. They have a great chef who visits all the tables and even shares stories and drinks with the clients. For dessert we had Sarah's own homemade Ki lime pie with coffee. Every other Friday they have French Dip sandwiches made from Prime Rib. We will return.
